I am looking for system sounds, like System.Media.SystemSounds.Asterisk.Play() or System.Media.SystemSounds.Hand.Play(), etc.
Or just a "beep" to start with? Is Forms really mute? ;-)
hey @WarrenStephens for now you have to implement by yourself service and call it on your forms using the dependecyservice , i have worked in a SoundService for iOS and Android already and i will be adding it to the Xamarin Forms Labs project so everybody can use and help improve it.
Can you post something here when it is ready?
hey @WarrenStephens i just pushed some draft of the code i was playing with to the Xamarin Forms Labs , currently it works for IOS and almost for android, (weird bug going on)
here's the view model sample , you can get the code and play with it..
i have also this PlayerControl i m going to add shortly ...
Just one updated on this topic , Xamarin Forms Labs has now a beta version of SoundService for all 3 platforms, i just added for windows phone too
Thanks. I plan to circle back to this issue after dealing with some platform specific drawing issues.
