I am currently evaluating the feasibility of using Xamarin for a cross platform solution with support for Apple Watch.
Did any of you succeed with Xamarin + Apple Watch and will you share your experiences?
It took me one full day to create a simple Hello World example with watchOS 6.2.
I am concerned about:
- lack of support for latest Apple Watch Series 4+5 in the project templates and official Xamarin samples.
- no debug support as only release configuration is supported.
- the app size is problematic for Apple Watch applications. My hello world sample is very big (98.2 MB). What is the size of your Apple Watch application and do you experience problems staying below the maximum limit?
