Trigger ListView Refresh Animation

FlorianKrieglFlorianKriegl ATMember ✭✭✭

is there an option to trigger the refresh animation (just the animation not the complete refresh process) of a list view? Ideal from a ViewModel via binding? I've written a custom renderer that triggers the BeginRefresh when a custom property is true but this does not work as expected. I just want to start the animation when a command in code behind starts. Is this possible?

Correct, I just want the spinner animation to start. I thought so too, but just setting the IsRefreshing value (i.e. the binding) doesn't start the animation...

I just tested it now, it should be working. I have used it for other places before too.

I think your binding might be the issue. Try setting the IsRefreshing = true directly without binding and see.

Thanks @ghasan and @LandLu you both are right! My problem was that my code stuck in an non await operation and so the UI blocks and does not update correctly.
