I have a MasterDetail Forms app, XF 1.4. I can't seem to hide the status bar at the top of the app. iOS 8.0 and above.
I tried the old way: UIApplication.SharedApplication.SetStatusBarHidden(...)
It should work with a UIApplication.SharedApplication.SetStatusBarHidden(true, false);
I usually use it in my FinishedLaunching of the AppDelegate and have never found it not working.
Maybe for this to work you also have to set this key in the info.plist?
Or false.. I always get confused with this setting..
UIViewControllerBasedStatusBarAppearance to False.
This worked for me. Thanks!
In Visual Studio 2019 I found a checkbox in the Info.plist file that says "Hide status bar". It worked for me to hide the status bar in the splash screen.
