Visual Studio always rebuild app, even without code change

When I'm debugging Android app, VS always build whole project, even when I don't make any change to any of the files.

That's why everybody in our team use VS for writing code & XS to debug and deploy.

Can we prevent somehow every time building in VS?

    Hi @MichalDobradenka.3459,

I have never faced any problem of auto building project.

Still, you can check below configuration:

    1. Open the "Tools" menu and click "Options"
    2. Expand "Projects and Solutions"
    3. Click on the "Build and Run" tab
    4. In the "On Run, when the projects are out of date" dropdown, uncheck "Always build".

If this solution does not solve your problem, you can describe your problem in more detail.

  • I've found something:

Project 'TapHome.Android' is not up to date. Input file 'c:\work\taphome\packages\fab.xamarinandroid.1.6.3.0\lib\monoandroid50\floatingactionbutton-xamarin.dll' is modified after output file 'C:\work\taphome\TapHome.Android\bin\Debug\TapHome.Android.pdb'.
