Couldn't connect to logcat, GetProcessId returned: 0 (Release mode)

  • Created a basic Xamarin Android app (click me stub app)
  • Set supported architectures to:
  • armeabi
  • armeabi-v7a
  • x86
  • x86_64
  • arm64_v8a
  • Build
  • Attempted to deploy (AVD_for_Nexus5_by_Google (Android 6.0 - API 23))
  • received message: Couldn't connect to logcat, GetProcessId returned: 0

Have rebooted and run, re-compiled and run, and all other suggestion found on web.
Nothing works.

Can't deploy.
Any suggestions?

    Here is the solution:

Under: Android Manifest file and under the “Required permissions” checked both Access_Coarse_location and Internet.

This answer did not work for me. Instead, just deleting the app from the emulator device fixed it for me.
