Unable to enter Single App Mode | Guided Access on Xamarin.iOS or Xamarin Forms

I'm trying to put an Xamarin.iOS app on iPad into single app mode. The iPad is already supervised (using Apple Configurator) and is managed by Cisco Meraki MDM (System Manager). I'm able to push the app successfully to iPad , but app fails to get into single app mode. In the AppDelegate of iOS app I m calling the UIKit.UIAccessibility.RequestGuidedAccessSession(true, (obj) => { }); in the OnActivated (overridden) method. When app hits this point, it crashes. And I tried to catch the exception, but cannot do this.

I feel something is broken from Xamarin.iOS , in the application output window "Got a SIGSEGV while executing native code. This usually incidates a fatal error in the mono runtime or one of the native libraries used by your application".

May I request any help in this regard. Thanks in anticipation.
Attached crash logs and app output.

This looks a lot like it could be related to this bugzilla issue. It looks like this is targeted for the 15.6 release which is not out yet.
