Entry width problem

Hi i'm making a login screen for the mobile im creating... but...
the entry wont listen to widthrequest.

<XAML> <Entry Placeholder="Username..." WidthRequest="100" MinimumWidthRequest="75" x:Name="entryUsername" VerticalOptions="Start" HorizontalOptions="Start" Grid.Row="3" />

what am i doing wrong?????

    HorizontalOptions has been set to "Start" but I think it's start by default so you should be able to remove the VerticalOptions and HorizontalOptions. You will be able to position things how you want them with your Grid rows and columns. Try the below.

    Entry Placeholder="Username..."
                               WidthRequest="100"
                                x:Name="entryUsername"
                               Grid.Row="3" />
