Introduction to C# - A lot of the syntax being used, doesnt seem to work in VS2017?

I am going through the Introduction to C# video lessons, and a lot of what she is running through is on a Mac on Xamarin Studio.

I know its all C#, but when i simply type a line like StackLayout layout = new StackLayout(); VS doesn't recognize it.

Just curious as to what I am missing here, or am I wasting my time on this specific lesson if its not applicable to VS?

Thank you for your response!

    Hi @AndyHammond --

To use things like StackLayout, you have to have some additional references (specifically to Xamarin.Forms). We've actually updated that class (CSC105) and dropped the Xamarin.Forms bits since they are a bit more advanced than where you likely are by the time you hit that class. Instead, we focus on Console-based apps in that class. Finish that series and then take the XAM120 class instead to get an introduction to Xamarin.Forms.

    I hope that helps!
