Cross-platform with Bluetooth

Hi

I'm an old Android developer, and haven't really touched mobile development for a couple of years. Lately at work, I've been asked to implement a mobile application to talk with a microcontroller through bluetooth. In android I don't think this would be a problem, but iOS... man! I can't develop to that natively, so that could be a problem.

Then I remembered a friend who told me about Xamarin once.
But before I go learning Xamarin, I'd like to know if it is at all possible to develop a cross platform application, using bluetooth? My guess would be no, since the API's probably are very different, but if it is, Hail Mary!

Hope you can help me determine if Xamarin is the right choice.

All the best,
Ben

    Hi Ken.

Thank you. I took a look, and see that it's now Monkey.Robotics.
The problem seems that to communicate with a microcontroller, I'd have to configure that MC with the Micro stack, which is not possible for me, since I use a very lightweight ARM processor. Or am I misunderstanding how the Monkey.Robotics work?
