How I can implement remote notifications in Xamarin Forms?

There are a couple of services
I've used Mobile Donky's Xamarin Forms SDK commercially for a major UK retail client (100,000 users), it's excellent, scalable, and they are open to consider adding new features.
I've also worked with Mobile Donky onsite, with their public SDK, that's me in their baseball cap in my profile pic!
One thing to think about when trying to do it yourself (i.e. via https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/app-service-mobile/app-service-mobile-xamarin-forms-get-started-push ) is that you need to be a thorough expert in Android handsets, in particular, there are some specific models which in certain circumstances will not get notifications for as much as around 28 minutes if not configured correctly, and one thing that Donky specialise in are the peculiarities of different handsets, if this sort of thing worries you, just email them and ask about this. But it does raise the issue that you really need to log when notifications arrive, if you can, so that you can get a heads up on which models the delays are occurring.
