How to run streaming videos (specifically .m3u8 Format) in xamarin app windows phone 8.1

MediaElement media1 = new MediaElement();
string source = "http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/samples/bipbop/bipbopall.m3u8";
media1.Source = new Uri(source, UriKind.RelativeOrAbsolute);
media1.Play();

Code Works Fine With
(
//string source = "http://www.sample-videos.com/video/mp4/720/big_buck_bunny_720p_1mb.mp4";
//string source = "http://www.stephaniequinn.com/Music/Commercial DEMO - 11.mp3";
)

I want implement it as native feature in xamarin.

    Have you figured out a solution to this problem?

    It won't ever be a "Native" feature in Xamarin but you could easily leverage each platforms independent media services.

    You might even be able to use a compatible third party player such as gstreamer (https://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/) in order to share more code.
