Run iPhone app on iPad simulator

Hi,

Is it possible to run an iPhone app on the iPad simulator without changing the Application Target? Because if I set it to Universal, the app doesn't scale as an iphone app anymore. And I need to test it on the ipad because Apple rejected my app for this reason:
We noticed that your app did not run at iPhone resolution when reviewed on iPad running iOS 10.1.1. Specifically, we found that a number of screens were cut off at the top or bottom.

Kind regards,

Rob Houweling

What should I modify? It is already set to Debug - iPhoneSimulator. The list of devices only contains iPhone devices and lists the iPad devices as Unsupported.
