View downloaded files without using iTunes

I am downloading files like Excel, Docx, PPT in my app. I am able to view these files in iTunes File Sharing by connecting device to Mac. I am using Environment.SpecialFolder.MyDocuments path to save the files. But is it possible to view these files without iTunes files? Because each time it is not possible to connect the device to see files right?

Is there any way to download files in General folder?

I read about app sandbox, but I am totally confused, I need to reply to our customers regarding this issue.

If you're looking to easily share files between the users devices then I highly recommend using iCloud. It will automagically sync all the files to the users other devices (which can include Macs).

  • Do I need to code anything extra to access iCloud?
