Currently all the online documents suggest putting things into Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData. I really dislike this because the Apple policies for iCloud are that you only put stuff in the Documents folder that the user has created and will modify.
My XCode based apps use a "Private Documents" folder in the NSLibraryDirectory and are marked as "do not backup". I'd prefer putting any SQLite data and cached thumbs into this folder. Actually there is also supposed to be a ~/Library/Cache folder.
Is there a nifty way to access / put stuff into the ~/Library folder that would scale to Android?
Can't believe the iCloud issue never came up?
