Xamarin CocosSharp drains android battery when idle

I`m Scheduling a bunch of stuff in my game.
On iOs the battery consumption is very low when the app is sleeping,
but it's a different story on Android, where it consumes s***loads of battery when sleeping. Is there anything I could turn on / off?
Or do I Really have to UnscheduleAll() when the app sleeps?
