The following thread was closed Visual Studio 2015 intellisense regression when editing XAML files, why?
1) Issue was resolved? No
2) To reduce the noice?
This issue is so important that i don´t get the point releasing new features without tackling this issue once and for all, even Resharper is given better result.
You purchase a Xamarin License just to be able to (continue to) use the already pricey(but worth it) Visual Studio,
Just to find out that Xamarin.Forms Xaml usage simply cripples visual studio intellisense and most of all, productivity,
why on earth would you use strongly typed language and not be able to determine their type while coding, and even worse
your IDE tells you your code is all messed up full of errors(but you can build and compile at your own risk you were warned, wtf)
There´s a UserVoice Entry with about a thousand votes since July 8 as of writing
a (#Bug 32987 - [XF 1.4.4] Generated .g.cs files for XAML that use the outdated "MSBuild:Compile" "Custom Tool" are no longer seen by Visual Studio IntelliSense)[https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=32987]
(#Bug 32988 - [XF 1.4.4] Modifying XAML files causes IntelliSense for references to other PCLs to fail in the ".xaml.cs" codebehind files with errors of the form "are you missing an assembly reference?")[https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=32988]
(#Bug 33181 - InitializeComponent() method call in XAML code behind page constructor "does not exist in current context" (IntelliSense error))[https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=33181]
Okay, Xamarin Forms is a year old and so is the one year business license paid upfront.
I will finish this like:
Xamarin Use the tools you advertise, TestCloud, UITests, Insights(if already in use, then use it even more, cos), please hire more testers, testcase writers and implementers, validators(if the team is already big, make it bigger or/and better)
We want your success, because it translate to ours. They payment is necessary, cause as dev i always work(enjoy myself) better when i don´t have to worry about my bills but only on software engineering.
