XS is very slow since 5.7

Hi guys,

I am really struggling with XS performance since 5.7. I constantly get the beach-ball, even for simple things such as trying to click on a menu item. Further, XS hangs completely up to 10 times per day - requiring a Force Quit. I have checked this thread but can I confirm that TFS Addin is not enabled, neither is Source Analysis.

Please find my IDE logs attached.

Interestingly, I have an iOS Designer Log but I have never used it.
Secondly, when I went into "Xamarin Studio" => "About", I was prompted to "install the Java Runtime Environment" but my System Preferences => Java panel tells me that "Java 8 Update 31" is "recommended version". It last checked today and does not offer an update.

Please help. I am just not getting my work done.

Same here. Reinstalled and still same issue. It started after I added Xamarin Android on MAC.

    Could you please try this?

    1. Start Xamarin Studio and find out what's the process id (PID) of Xamarin Studio (using the Activity Monitor or 'ps' in a terminal).
    2. Work with Xamarin Studio until you get the beachball.
    3. In a terminal, type 'kill -QUIT pid', where pid is the id of Xamarin Studio. You have to execute this command while Xamarin Studio is hung, so you may want to type it in advance, so that you can quickly execute it when you see the beachball.
    4. Attach here the latest IDE.log file (you can find it using the Help -> Open Log Directory command).

This command will make a dump of the stack trace of all threads, and it is very useful to track down locks.
