Is there a way to enable intellisense for custom control XML files rather than AXML files?

I made a plugin for VS https://github.com/EgorBo/Xamaridea to open xml and axml files directly in Android Studio with theirs intellisense and refactorings.
@Egor_Bogatov Yes, I did see the plugin,however, I then cannot get code completion working within AS. Any ideas?
@EgorBo I love Xamaridea and was bummed you didn't update it for VS2019. I forked it over the weekend and made some updates. I didn't submit any pull requests because I'm lazy, but if you're interested in the changes I made to it, I will.
