F# module insists on using wrong fsc.exe

I recently installed Xamarin with the intent of using it for F# development. Unfortunately I didnt install the F# tools before installing the language plugin and it found fsc.exe from my scala distribution (the fast scala compiler tool).

After i installed the F# 3.0 tools and ensured they were on the path first, then I went into the settings for the plugin and manually set the locations of the interpreter and compiler -- but no matter what i do (reinstall of the module included) it insists on using the fast scala compiler that it found on initial installation.

Can someone point me to where this tooling is setup or have any ideas what i can do to rectify?

Thanks in advance,
Rich
