Issues activating from Starter

Hi Guys,

Wondering whether you can help. I've just bought a business license for android, but for some reason it seems to be stuck in starter edition in the about menu. I'm running on a macbook air, I'm the only seat. It logs in okay just doesn't switch in the about menu next to the Android part.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I had a similar issue today. Emailed support and they helped me to resolve it quite quickly.

I had to delete the old started licence and entitlements files in "%ProgramData%\Mono for Android" and download the new correct licence from Workstations section in store.xamarin.com.
Obviously I'm on Windows, but I imagine it would be similar on Mac.

Great, that sounds like a plan, anyone know the directory for licences on a mac?

On mac the license is here: ~/Library/MonoAndroid

Just to clarify why this happens - currently activation is done "on demand", i.e. when you use a feature that requires another edition, it will either download and activate your license (if you have one) or prompt you to begin a trial. We may make it more "eager" in future so that it activates your licenses when you log in.
