How to use true type fonts in Shared Projects?

I am working on a shared project(using the CocosSharp.PCL.Shared NuGet Package) for a game to run on android. I am following the CoinTime example where a .ttf font is used, but I can't seem to get it working for me.

  • I have a .ttf file in the directory "CocosSharpGame1.Droid/Assets/Content/fonts"
  • In the GameDelegate class I have the "prApplication/ContentRootDirectory = "Content";" and the "prApplication/ContentSearchPaths.Add("fonts");"
  • I create the label "Label = new CCLabel("Hello CocosSharp", "fonts/PixelFont.ttf", 32, CCLabelFormat.SystemFont);"

I have managed to get .ttf fonts to work in Portable projects(using the CocosSharp NuGet Package) before, just not shared projects. Any help would be appreciated.

Same Issue. I did the same steps as you did, but wasn't working for me either.
