Check if user has enables unknown sources

yawnoyawno USMember ✭✭

I am a bit confused how I can check if the user has enabled Unknown sources, I know from https://developer.xamarin.com/api/type/Android.Provider.Settings+Secure/ that you can use Android.Provider.Settings.Secure.InstallNonMarketApps to get the constant value, but what do I actually compare this too?

There is no legal way, also you cannot hold that permission unless application signed by the same signing key that signed the firmware or if application installed on the system partition (e.g., a rooted device ).

No i think you maybe misunderstood my question or misunderstand what .InstallNonMarketApps means, I would like to be able to check if user has enabled "Unknown sources", this is a user setting and I would just like to check if it is set to true or to false.

Here is an example in java Android http://stackoverflow.com/questions/17775535/install-non-market-apps-alternative but I am unsure how this can be done in Xamarin
