iOS build takes 5+ minutes (from visual studio). Both mac and visual studio are on latest stable release. How can I debug the reason for this? It used to take 30 seconds at most.
I would like to put one more question to this topic: I faced the same issue, very strong PC with Windows 10, Visual Studio 2015, latest Xamarin, builds for UWP and Android in seconds, also have an (average) Mac connected to the network with an iPhone, building is very slow ... so, which CPU is actually building when I deploy to my iPhone via the Mac?
I thought still my PC will build and deploy, just using the Mac to grab some libraries, but now it seems more like that the Mac is building for the iPhone and that is why maybe it is so slow ...
Is my assumption correct? I need a very strong Mac to build fast to my iPhone?
