Forum Workbooks & Inspector

Is it possible to reference an iOS app in a Workbook?

I was hoping to use a Workbook as a place to show examples of existing views within an iOS app, like showing different styles applied to the app's login view.

Is this possible? I know I can reference dlls from the app within the Workbook, but I would like to reference the UI bits, as well.

You can reference assemblies from your other iOS app (but make sure not to use any linking when building it). I believe you can also dynamically load storyboards/xibs etc if you are using the designer to make your other app's UI. I don't remember how to do it offhand, though. Should be documented API if doable.

Unfortunately, we don't use xibs or storyboards for our views.

If your views are written in C#, then it seems like the easiest thing is to reference your app assemblies or copy the code into the workbook.
