Hi. I am working on a DAW app, music production app with a lot of floating point arithmetic processing for both Windows devices and Android.
At the beginning it seems to have good performance but now I realize that the windows devices runs maybe 5 times faster than Android with equal CPUs.
So what do you guys say? Is the floating point arithmetic so slow so it would be better to do all the heavy processing in a C++ library?
How do you guys test the performance? I am using the visual studio built-in profiler for Windows to find all the slow code and it has help me a lot to increase the performance (On windows devices...) Is there any good trix to measure the prformance on android? Or is the old school logs the best?
