How to create a login with xamarin and mysql

Hello I'm working on a school project which requires a login form that access database my mysql database

I would like to know which path to take in order to create it successfully, if I should use a webservice and which Web service to use.

Or is there a full tutorial on how to make a xamarin login using mysql database?
