iPhone as Xamarin Mac Agent

chitgokschitgoks PHMember

hi. I decided to try out Xamarin to be able to develop iOS apps because I do not have a Mac OSX hardware like Mac Mini or Macbook.

Looking at tutorials for Xamarin.iOS the only alternative shown for the Xamarin Mac Agent is to connect remotely to a Mac which I do not have.

I was under the assumption that it is possible to do so using a real iPhone device but I have not found any section in the tutorials that tells me that which defeats the purpose for coding iOS apps under Windows OS.

Please advise.

That is correct, you need a mac to develop iOS apps. This is an Apple requirement.
The Visual Studio integration only allows you to develop in Windows by using a mac as a slave build device.
