Metawear Smart Sensor with Xamarin Forms

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has been able to port the Metawear C++ API into Xamarin Forms?

If not, I would like to know if it is physically possible to do so? Whether I need to do separate interops for iOS and Android then access via dependency service, or can access it directly from the PCL?

They have a C# Wrapper for UWP: https://mbientlab.com/tutorial/uwp/cs/

The Nuget package won't work because it is specific to UWP and throws error. 'You are trying to install this package into a project that targets '.NETPortable,Version=v4.5,Profile=Profile111', but the package does not contain any assembly references or content files that are compatible with that framework'.

If anyone could give me some advice/insight, if they have done somethign similar with another C++ API it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Damian

I will not recommend using C++ API because it lacks many features, we used it for UWP platform but found that Android API is mature and offers many more feature than C++ Api. Objective C API is even rich than Android (Java) API. Metawear should take care of their lagging C++ API and they should come up with pure C# based solution for UWP and Xamarin community instead of people creating bindings.
