Creating a Mobile Framework in C# To Be Used Natively on iOS/Android By Third Parties

alexjhalexjh USMember

Good afternoon,

I am using Xamarin C# to build a mobile application for our platform.

In the future, we'd like to be able to offer our framework to third-party partners, who may wish to incorporate our functionality into their own native iOS and Android applications.

Is there any way in which we can leverage Xamarin to create a shared codebase that could be used by our partners existing native applications? Any way to compile a layer of our application into a shared framework / library that is compiled into a JAR file for Android, and an iOS framework?

If not, can you offer any suggestions? Our framework requires native device functionality (BLE) that cannot be offloaded to a Cloud service.

Thanks in advance,
