I'm checking out a large project from SVN - I see the progress bar appear but it never updates its progress. The details do show what's going on.
Hey. This is actually a lack of info coming from libsvn.
It doesn't notify us of the repository size, nor does tell us the progress percentage it is at. Only thing I could do is make it say it's checking out, then when it finishes, pop a Checkout finished text.
The progress bar is used by our version control systems as a step indicator. And most Subversion commands are one-step commands.
I'll take a look at this, and if I find any way to get progress of actions from libsvn, I shall implement it.
The "details" is enough progress, do away with the progress bar if you can't get progress events and just show the progress in the detail view.
Apparently, libsvn does have support for giving out progress percentage. I shall look into implementing this.
