Hello,

I just started to use Xamarin today with a student license.
I was trying to set up version control with github so I googled how to do it. All what I found was to set it up through "Version Control" > "Publish" but when I select my solution and hit "Version Control" there is only a "Checkout" button at the top of the menu but no "Publish". Someone had the same issue in that discussion without being given a solution.
https://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/10097/adding-project-to-github

So my question is what do I need to do to setup my git ?

Thanks in advance
G

PS : sorry about my frenchy English, I am still learning ...

Based on the picture you posted, your solution already appears to be under version control. Note the "(master)" next to your solution name in the Solution Explorer. Perhaps there is an old/existing .git directory in your solution's path. If so, exit Xamarin Studio, remove that .git directory and restart Xamarin Studio. Open your solution and Version Control -> Publish should be available.

    thank you again...
