Is it possible to add stack Layuout in toolbar to add controls in it? If yes please provide any sample with UI in XAML
I believe @Momm is correct. What he is saying is that Xamarin.Forms does not have access to properties that would allow you to create stack layouts and add them to the toolbar view. To accomplish this you are going to have to implement a custom toolbar in Xamarin.iOS, Xamarin.Droid, and Xamarin.WP individually using the custom renderer design pattern as explained here.
Custom renderers aren't just limited to customizing controls, they allow you to access and customize most visual elements for each platform. For example I can build a whole page that is implemented as a custom renderer and each platform would have it's own code to create that page. Or I can just create a button that is implemented as a custom renderer while the page it lives on is Xamarin.Forms.
@SudhirMuthal - Toolbars as they stand at the moment in XF provide a lot of the functionality needed. If you are putting in a StackLayout in the Toolbar you might be doing something that would break standard conventions in how toolbars look. What are you actually trying to achieve in terms of functionality for the user?
In this case you will need to create a CustomRenderer for the NavigationPage (NavigationRenderer).
Unfortunately I can't share any code with you for business reasons.
I believe you will need to create a CustomRenderer for this.
Custom Render is for customizing controls.I am not sure about toolbar
@AdamPedley I want add search functionality in tool bar. If someone click the icon of search the icon should move to right and entry should be visible to enter the text to be searched
