Experimental Windows UWP support

kjpou1kjpou1 LUMember, Xamarin Team Xamurai

Experimental Windows 10/UWP support is in the forms support branch. Anybody is more than welcome to try out the code and give feedback. There are no NuGets yet while we are trying to figure out how best to support this in our NuGets.

You can compile from code with no problem. There is a test project CocosSharp.Tests.WindowsUWP.sln there as well.

Thanks for working on this. I got the test project to run, but only after some tweaks.
I was getting "'SoundEffectInstancePool' is inaccessible due to its protection level" etc. initially.

That is weird. I just did a fresh clone, checkout of forms_support branch. Maybe you have to make sure that MonoGame submodule is up to date and do not forget to rerun Protobuild.exe in the MonoGame directory.

I did the previous. Loaded the CocosSharp.WindowsUWP.sln and compiled straight away. Loaded the test solution, selected simulator and it compiled right away and ran.

Edit: Ok I redownloaded the monogame dependecy and got it to work.
Might of actually been using the wrong project all along.

Make sure you are using the xamarin_forms branch of MonoGame: https://github.com/mono/MonoGame/tree/xamarin_forms
