How to integrate Crashlytics into Xamarin Studio on an android project?
There is no Crashlytics integration in the IDE at this time. It may be possible to manually bind the Crashlytics library and add it to your project.
I tried that, imported Crashlytics.jar and added the application key in the manifest. The app compiles and runs, registers for the service but doesn't catch any exception..
Ah, so it's an Android runtime issue. I'll move this over to the Android forum where you should be able to get a better answer.
any idea, when this will come?
The app compiles and runs, registers for the service but doesn't catch any exception.
This is common with many other crash capture frameworks with Xamarin based projects for Android. It has to do with the difference between exceptions thrown by Dalvik vs Mono. Most likely the framework in question is only designed to capture Dalvik exceptions. You're best bet is to catch all exceptions using AppDomain.CurrentDomain.UnhandledException and then manually calling your framework to report the Exception. This assumes the framework you use has this capability.
