I want a web page to redirect to my app and open it normally (no specific view or id etc).
Here is the applink:

    <meta property="al:ios:url" content="myapp://open" />
    <meta property="al:ios:app_store_id" content="xxxxxxxxx" />
    <meta property="al:ios:app_name" content="MyApp" />

Then here is my info.plist

The Rivet component is installed in the iOS project (the full solution Xamarin.forms).

When I type in the web site adress, I'm not redirected to My App.

I'm new to AppLink, I certainly haven't understood it fully yet. It it that Safari doesn't resolve AppLinks?
Tks for your help.

    Hi, did you resolve this as I am having the same issue. I have created a page ( and when it opens on the iphone it fails.

    If I open pedg://group on my iphone it launches the app but I was expecting to be able to navigate to and have the app loaunch too.

    Any help appreciated!

    In my case I just think that Safari does not resolve applinks.
    When you say that when you enter pedg://group on your iPhone it launches the app, where do you type it exactly?

    So if I type pedg://group into the url bar of safari- or go to a page with that link and click it it will open my App. But I was expecting to be able to navigate to and because of the header values, if the app was installed then it would open. Sadly this is not happening.

    From a few reading on the web, my understanding (but I may be wrong) is that applinks have been introduced by Facebook but are not used by all apps or browsers yet. In the case of Safari, it just doesn't resolve the header of your website to applinks. You should try to open your websste with a browser that resolve applinks. I haven't looked for one yet so if you find one please let me know.

    Thanks for your replies, seems the App Links are not quite as useful as I had assumed. I have tweaked my workflows to work better, without using the header values that are ignored!.

    @FranoisMouchati, @AshleyJackson and at all other readers of this thread:

    I search a solution, to redirect users that came from a mobile-device (iOS, Android, Windows-Phone) to our public portal (VWG-Ajax, that unfortunately don't support mobile devices :angry:) to my app in the stores.
    Therefore I try to find out in the startup of the portal that's a mobile-user and then want to how a html-page with the download-link.
    Further, I wonder, if it is possible to redirect mobile users directly from the google-search-page to the portal (SEO) to the install-page instead to the portal (with some meta-tags in the SEO-information).
    I first thought, that "app-links" can be the way, but it seems as app-links more are thought for app-app-communication...

    I have found a useful description to app-links here:

    and also from Xamarin here:
