v4.1.2 - Alpha channel
I've been getting this since this afternoon. I get the same message if I switch channels.
Is there a log I can check for more verbose information? Or is this a known problem?
Can you contact [email protected]? We have a few cases like this.
Was this ever resolved? I've been away from Xamarin for a few weeks and am now seeing this error when I attempt to check for updates.

Yes. What happened (for me, at least) was my Android trial expired while I was in the alpha channel, so I had to delete it and reinstall the latest stable release.
