how best to debug issues deploying to iOS device

error MT1006: Could not install the application '/............/bin/iPhone/Debug/App.iOS.app' on the device Gandalf the white: Application Verification Failed Error (error: 0xe800003a).

I can deploy using the same device identifier from xcode; but in xamarin it hangs.

As an aside; why are building and deployment tasks so slow? any way to speed them up? makes problems like this one, which rquire constant running all the more frustrating.

    No one for this one? Running into the same problem, everything seems to be in place (certificates, device identifiers, etc.) but it just doesn't want to deploy. Works fine with another device though.
