Upgraded .iOS then Bang!

CaptainXamtasticCaptainXamtastic GBUniversity ✭✭✭

Hi, I upgraded to the latest Xamarin.iOS and lost both iPhone devices and simulators, none show up in the drop-down!

Any ideas? (see logs below)

Also, my previous simulator has disappeared, any idea why?

Same, this is awful. It seems like a version mismatch but I can't seem to get anything working. Have tried rolling back versions of everything as well and everything just seems to have blown up.

In case any users find this thread first when looking for the latest information no iOS devices appearing in Visual Studio, you can first check the ~/Library/Logs/Xamarin/MonoTouchVS/mtbserver.log file on the Mac build host to look for an error message about an ArgumentNullException from System.Version..ctor (as shown in Anthony's comment). If you see that error, then the latest discussion can be found in the following thread (including some possible workarounds):

If you see an issue where no iOS devices are appearing in Visual Studio, and the mtbserver.log file does not contain an ArgumentNullException from System.Version..ctor, please start a new thread, or report the issue to [email protected] Thanks!

I'll close this thread for now to help consolidate any new reports of the problem.
