For example, I'm creating a menu that has a ListView with a static list of options. Instead of binding to a datasource, can I just provide a hardcoded list of items inside the ListView tag?
You could hard code the values back in your ViewModel (Observable List) instead of in the Xaml. It would make your Xaml cleaner and easier to manage/style.
Even though my post is a bug report, it does show how to statically create items in your C# and bind them to your ListView.http://forums.xamarin.com/discussion/20488/bug-can-t-add-multiple-items-to-listview-argumentoutofrangeexception
Question not answered. To re-iterate, it's how to achieve it in XAML. Could someone please make it clear if it's not supported.
@System.Ash Apparently its not supported.
@System.Ash No probs
