Need to login with WebView then navigate to Forms pages [for both ios and android]

ultrburultrbur Member ✭✭

I'm working on a project which we need to authenticate users from a WebView page then navigation will be available for user pages. User pages are content pages. We need to write the token that returns from successful login to the device so navigation to the user specific pages will be available by comparing the login_key inside the Token with the DB version. Has anyone worked on something like this? and is this possible?

Typically, when it comes to information exchange, we either nest a WebView inside the ContentPage or use Web Services to request data and xamarin controls to display information, then according to the logic to achieve navigation functions.

We need to write the token that returns from successful login to the device so navigation to the user specific pages will be available by comparing the login_key inside the Token with the DB version.

This always-common feature, why don't you use web-services to get relevant data, such as user token, and then compare the login_key inside the token with the DB. In this case, we're not using a WebView.

The problem with the login is, it works under classical ASP.Net project and complicated. We need our working login to maintain cross-login logic and don't want to touch it since it's a live system. Thanks for the advice :)

If I understand correctly, do you wan to login by the webview first and then judge to contentpages from the webview according to the logic in the background?

Yes, that's exaxtly the thing we need to do.
