Hi All,

I am facing an issue when I try to achieve my iOS project using Archive for publishing. Below is the error

~~Done building target "_GenerateFrameworkDebugSymbols" in project "sample.iOS.csproj" -- FAILED.

I have updated my Xcode Command line tools to the latest using xcode-select --install, but still no luck.

No, we still have the same problem. We also get the same error when we try to deploy the app from Windows to iPhone.

A workaround that we use is to clone the repository on Mac and deploy from Mac to a device. Archiving from Mac also works fine so you might want to try that instead.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply. In our case, we are facing the issue on Mac itself.

Anyways please let me know if you get any solution for that issue.

We have resolved this issue now. All we did is we just updated Xamarin.iOS, Mono Framework MDK and Visual Studio for Mac to the latest versions.

Just go to Visual Studio -> Check for Updates and then update all.

On Windows we just updated Visual Studio to 16.5.4 and it updated the other components automatically. Deployment and archiving now works fine from Windows.

Thanks for the reply. I have resolved the issue by uninstalling and installing the VS 2019.

Updating to the Preview channel to support Xcode 11.4 version will not work.
