Missing assemblies in VS?

JKnottJKnott Member ✭✭✭

Warning! you're missing an assembly! But don't worry it doesn't matter??

Has anyone else seen this? Do you have a work around? I know it doesn't seem to matter, but it would be nice to understand what's going on behind the scenes here...

Xamarin.Forms project the CLR project says that the Mono.Android Assembly is missing.

In the past I tracked it down, and pointed the object to the Mono.Android assembly library, but it seemed to make no difference either way, and later I found that it was once again reporting that the assembly was missing.

What's going on there?

Normally, we only reference .Net Standard library in the Forms project. This is my sample's references:

And Mono.Android will be embedded in Android's project:

We use Dependency Service to consume Android Apis in the Android project and only leave none platform-related code in Forms.
