How to set Android and Java sdk in visual studio

AustyAusty Member ✭✭✭

l get a notification to upgrade JDK to microsoft's mobile openjdk distribution for optimal performance.
As l attempt to make the change l find out that android sdk and java sdk are absent.

l then try to download openjdk and place in a folder as stated in this guide

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/xamarin/android/get-started/installation/openjdk

But on following the guide.. everything l select the sdk folder. l get the error

"No sdk found in specified location".

Kindly help as this affects my testing android.

    Download/Run Visual Studio Installer, Select the missing/updated JDKs, Select any Visual Updates as well.

    This will download/fix the path to the JDK.

    open VS2019 Menu Options->Xamarin->Android Settings
    you will see that there is java and sdk path to define
