How can an Xcode Swift app call functions in my Xamarin.ios library?

dbelldbell Member ✭✭

Another team member is writing an Xcode Swift app that needs to call functions in the Xamarin.IOS class library that I'm writing in Visual Studio on Windows.

How does the Swift app interface/bind with my Xamarin.IOS lib?

Does Xamarin.ios class lib project generate .a and .h files?

Xamarin is a technology of Microsoft it won't generate .a or .h files the extension for libraries is .dll. It is written by C# they are two different languages.
Xamarin could use binding library to consume .a libraries in Xamarin and convert .h to c# files which could be recognized by Xamarin.
I'm not sure whether iOS has this tool to convert C# to Swift. I think we can't do it like what Xamarin does. Try to manually convert the code line by line.
