Any good books for Android using C# & Visual Studio?

njsokalskinjsokalski Member ✭✭✭

I know this sounds like a very picky & specific request, but I am learning Android for the first time. I have experience with UWP, Visual Studio, and C# (well, actually mostly VB.NET, but I know enough about C# that I can handle that part). Because these are my areas of experience, I would like to find a book that uses them for Android (Native) development. Does anybody know of any relatively recent books that uses these? Most of the books that I have found either use Java instead of C# or Android or Xamarin Studio instead of Visual Studio. I know I'm being picky, but I would prefer to not need to learn any more new languages (Java) or tools (Android or Xamarin Studio) than necessary. Any suggestions?

    I did read this book:
    Xamarin Mobile Application Development
    Cross-Platform C# and Xamarin.Forms Fundamentals
    Authors: Hermes, Dan

But it it was not focused on XAML at all.
I may suggest you to read that one (I did not read):
Building Xamarin.Forms Mobile Apps Using XAML
Mobile Cross-Platform XAML and Xamarin.Forms Fundamentals
    Authors: Hermes, Dan, Mazloumi, Nima
