How to get VS2019 breakpoints to work when debugging iOS build of app

JohnHardmanJohnHardman GBUniversity admin

Since upgrading to VS 2019 (16.3.1), the debugger is not stopping on breakpoints when debugging the iOS build of my XF app. Is anybody else having this same problem? Any solution?

I have seen this before (but not so far in 16.3.1) and a full clean and rebuild sorted it for me.

Clean and Rebuild All didn't do it, but deleting bin and obj folders did. Thanks for the pointer in the right general direction.

It's about time Microsoft/Xamarin sorted out the regular need for deleting bin and obj folders. It's a hack, but if they cannot sort if properly, perhaps an option that when enabled results in Clean and Rebuild All deleting the folders? Hmmm, maybe I'll look at pre-build events - if there's some way of identify the build command, it could possibly be done there...
