mkbundle 'mono/metadata/mono-config.h' file not found

Hello Everyone,

I just recently purchased the developer edition of Xamarin.Mac and been experimenting with its capabilities andthe possibilities are extremely interesting. I was also curious if I could create standalone command line application for distribution. I saw this post here: http://mono-project.com/Guide:Running_Mono_Applications that seemed helpful.

When I try executing that against a simple "Hello World" application:

mkbundle -o console2 console2.exe --deps

It appears to generate some temporary files and then exits with the following error:

temp.c:1:10: fatal error: 'mono/metadata/mono-config.h' file not found

I saw a few posts in StackOverflow like this:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13979044/mkbundle-on-mac-with-mono-mono-metadata-mono-config-h-file-not-found

But didn't get very far. Can someone please help ?

Thank you in advance.

Ameer.
