Deploy from Visual Studio 2017 (Windows) to iPhone for Testing

I'm using Visual Studio 2017 (Windows) to develop a Master/Detail app in iOS. I have purchased an Apple Developer account but can't seem to figure out how to deploy my app to an iPhone for testing (I'm a noob). I can't use the Live Player because my app is using a web service which seems to crash it and looks to be a known bug.

Can anyone point me to a decent tutorial that explains the process? I saw a Xamarin University tutorial but it was using a simple project started from scratch on a Mac. I want to be able to deploy the app I already created on Windows. It runs on the simulators now I need to get it to a device.

Thanks for any help you can provide in this matter.

Here is how I did it recently,
    1. Created a certificate in Apple store, can be Development Certificate
    2. Add iOS Device ID in Certificate Provision
    3. Now, in VS, Xcode section add certificate from Apple code.
    4. Now you should be able to create Package. Once package created, drop it in iOS Device and install.
