Supporting iOS 11 and iPhone X in Xamarin.iOS Apps

Apple has indicated that starting in July, new apps and updates submitted to the App Store must support iPhone X and iOS 11. We've published a blog post linking to various resources that describe how to make the necessary updates to your apps. Feel free to discuss the post here!

Is this automatic if we are using the latest Xamarin.Forms and latest build tools (e.g. MacInCloud or VSTS hosted Mac preview).

Hi @CharlesRoddie, unfortunately this isn't something that can be done automatically – you'll want to go through your app screen by screen and make sure that the interface looks correct on iPhone X (supports the rounded corners, the notch, etc).

As for compiling against the iOS 11 SDK, look in your project options/properties, on the iOS Build tab, where you can find an SDK version selector.

Regarding specific build tools, I can't answer definitively – please check with those teams to make sure the build settings can be configured to use iOS 11/respect your project's build settings.
